Dunroamin Farms Australian Shepherds and Aussiedoodles is located in south central Kentucky just a stones throw away from the Tennessee state line, and sits conveniently between I65 and I75. Our home and farm resides in heart of 50 acres where our dogs have room to run and play, and come in and out of our home and our kennel deciding where they would like to be freely throughout the day. Their favorite time of day is helping us out with the chores around the farm. Each one of our dogs is a welcomed and incredibly loved member of our 3 generations of family that lives here.
Every day we gladly pour love, time, and attention into each of our dogs. In return, we receive a double portion of love and companionship back. It’s this sort of experience that our family at Dunroamin Farms want each of you and your new best friend to receive. A complete loving and caring experience. And that is why we do what we do. Before our dogs are considered to have a litter of puppies we make sure their health is of the first concern. We feed the best quality food that includes kibble, and we are slowly transitioning to a balanced raw diet consisting of our healthy home grown quail , rabbits, chicken, pork and beef.
We also believe that through genetic testing many sad and devastating diseases are avoided. In doing genetic testing, not only can we have the confidence and peace of mind that our dogs and puppies are as healthy as can be, but we hope it also gives each family that same kind of reassurance.
Once our puppies are born, they get endless love, care, training, and attention from their very first moments. From that time on, we teaching them what it feels like to be in a loving and caring home and family. We are constantly exposing them to new experiences, such as weekly grooming. We allow them to be rambunctious puppies during the day, but in the evening hours we teach them to have quiet time with us on our laps being petted, massaged, and brushed. We feel that is a very important lesson for them to learn. Each puppy loves this cuddle time and wants it to be their turn.
Available Puppies
As each puppy and family anticipates the day their puppy can be picked up and taken to their forever home, we update our families with pictures of each puppies often. Many pictures and videos are posted to our Dunroamin Farms Facebook page and Instagram account as well, so that everyone can see and enjoy their puppy at all their ages and stages of growth and development. We also are available to answer any questions that you may have regarding your new puppy’s schedules, food, training, products, or any other concerns you may have.
Our journey with Australian Shepherds all began with one incredible girl that helped heal my heart and kept me busy when my first daughter got married and left home. Callie has been the best dog we could have ever asked for. Loving, to us and everyone she meets. Ready to go anywhere, up for any adventure, or stay home and watch a movie in a dark home and snuggle. She made us want to have more puppies like her to share with families around the United States. She has had two litters of Aussies and three litters of Aussiedoodles and is now living her best life as a retired grandma dog. Callie is never far away from the whelping box. She can be found still trying to get her grand puppies to nurse or teaching them manners or just babysitting playing with them while her daughters go potty outside and take a break. We have worked hard to find other Australian Shepherds just close to her disposition as we can to fill her place in our breeding program. We believe we have found them.
